No offense but Dany blowing up KL by accident is a very popular theory so no reason why you would be so afraid to talk more deepen and better explained about it (?)original ↗

I think the ruling kings in ASOIAF also mostly go mad if they aren’t already, it’s just that people expect that women should be pure and innocent. Although tbf in the case of Dany specifically she does have the “going through hardship” arc that generally leads to good government in fantasy. Then again, it didn’t work for Egg either 🍳original ↗

Where do you think JonCon falls in this? If it’s KL you’re talking about. He’s a late player burly have a) his regret at not burning down Stoney Sept b) possible greyscale contagionoriginal ↗

okay but purely speaking about asoiaf, it’s not a bit concerning that the only ruling queens we have are ones that go mad?original ↗
10 Sept 2026
maybe it’s good twow isn’t coming because i genuinely can’t see how that plot can happen without coming off as deeply bioessentialist and misogynistic. yeah women can be written as going mad and just outright terrible people but it’s odd that it has happened to every ruling queen. even worse that they get put down by their male relatives or intimate partner.original ↗

It would be soooooo funny if neither Jaime nor Brienne got their own POV chapters in TWOW and we had to hear about their antics entirely secondhand from like… The Hound and/or Sansa or even Hyle Hunt. Can you imagine.original ↗

Isn’t the whole “appeal” of R+L the fact it’s a forbidden romance? The whole star crossed lovers thing? And doesn’t that inherently entail a degree of destruction and damage to other relationships in said characters life + their world at large? So idk why one would even become a fan of the pairing if they actively dislike and push back against a core aspect of the relationship? Isn’t that precisely what makes it “FORBIDDEN” lol I feel like I’m going mad. Like if you cannot stand others pointingoriginal ↗

Thank you for being the only person (that I’m aware of) who’s seen the play and DOES NOT like Rhaegar and his actions, doesn’t excuse them, AND doesn’t pull that “you only liked Elia when she was a perfect victim, but now you can’t stand her when she’s making her own political moves and isn’t sweet and gentle!” nonsense (as if that makes her any less of a victim and excuses Rhaegar!). X is a nightmare because of people doing all that.original ↗
