the problem is she puts words in ilya’s mouth about shane. he tells her something about his relationship and instead of asking how it makes him feel or working towards a solution for him, she immediately turns the conversation to “how much better shane has it” and how he “has people to go to” and basically tells ilya that the reason he got rid of his cars is because of shane, even though nothing ilya says indicates that this is the case. it’s frankly dangerous for someone like her to isolate ily
