Hello! something I’ve been wondering when looking at photos from kotohajime, where everyone always looks very cold, is why people in Gion don’t wear coats or haori (I can maybe understand why they don’t wear haori as it might be too casual, but michiyuki or douchugi would be fine, as they are worn when it rains) I know that outside of the kagai, in some traditional circles or settings, women are encouraged to always wear some kind of coat when going outside in kimono (instead of “obitsuke”) thou
