disclaimer! i am not a nonfiction person at all. i read a nonfiction book for young readers recently and was just wondering… when people write nonfiction for kids, is it often that they take information that’s already out there in different books and articles, use it in their work (citing sources, obviously), and make it more digestible for younger people? or is it like they’re actually out there doing new research?
