I’m about to send another revision of my manuscript to my agent. The first time I sent it, I thought it was close to done. My agent gave me great suggestions and I rewrote almost the entire MS. The second version also needed a lot of work, though I gained clarity in how I missed the mark and I saw what they were talking about. I essentially rewrote the entire MS again. This third time, I was initially excited (waking up early to work on it, cracking myself up, feeling absolutely delighted, etc.
