Congrats on the job! If you’re up to answering q’s - where do you think the line is between subversion and manipulation? I was thinking of how it’d be dishonest and mean-spirited to tag a fanfiction “[canonically posthumous character] is alive AU” only to kill them off mid-story, and I’ve heard romance novels should have certain elements, but breaking genre expectations is essential to the evolution of literature. Is it just a matter of storytelling skill or is there a more specific factor?
