So do you believe in truly unselfish acts? Like is it possible to do something just for someone else and not for any personal gain? Or do you believe that the pleasure you gain from helping another person is a reward to be sought after. Therefore in some way inherently every good action for another you do is also benefiting you. Or is the debate nebulous because the reward you gain rarely outweighs the amount of effort put into doing something truly meaningful for another person.
