hi, question from a non Christian—what did Jesus dying on the cross do? I thought it was about erasing the taint of original sin, but also there’s a common phrase “Jesus died for our sins” and which I guess means everyone goes to heaven because Jesus dying on the cross atones everyone of all their sins? I am confused
