there’s perhaps also a daeron/ulf parallel in the fact they were knighted in a somewhat unorthodox ceremony by characters that a lot of people see as mirrors or maybe foils (ormund/daemon)original ↗

unrelated to that theory, but jasper wylde saying that tessarion and daeron have taken to wing for the first time towards the end of season 2 got me thinking. so daeron only started flying on dragonback very recently, like right before ormund mobilized the hightower host?original ↗

continuing on the hair-color thingy because its sucha big theme of hotd lol my two cents are that most hightowers are either brunette or blond, rarely any ginger. in the show ormund is brunette with gold highlights, his dad hobert was blond, otto was light brunette and gwayne is blond. only alicent has the ginger//auburnish hair and she got it from her florent mom (which daeron has also inherited) otherwise the hightowers seen so far are blonds and brunetes but because alicent is most popular oforiginal ↗

interesting that freddie’s mom played lady redwyne while he plays gwayne bc it was my #1 hc that alicent and gwayne had a redwyne mom until s2 said it was a florent. still i assumed they had to be distantly related because redwynes and hightowers have had blood relations for centuries so the detail of them being actually mother & son is funnyoriginal ↗

I know Ewan does not exactly help sell the image of a teenager lol, but Aemond is what, 17 or 18? And it’s weird how little the show does with the fact that he basically has no one his own age he’s close to. His nephews are the only peers we really see him have any history with outside his siblings, and obviously that relationship goes to bad. Criston is probably the closest thing he has to a friend, but even he’s his older mentor and protector. And whenever Aemond gets to be vulnerable, it’s wioriginal ↗
